Born in Stockholm Sweden and raised in Canada, and having lived and worked in Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Poland, Germany, and USA, Sophia is a multilingual world citizen fluent in four languages; Swedish, English, French and Spanish. She is a hardworking, strategic, leader with 10 years of progressive experience impacting the corporate bottom line and performance through her expert alignment in human resources.
Throughout her university studies, she attended several international business relations exchange programs with Mexico including CEPE in Puebla, la Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, as well as la Universidad de Guadalajara. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Canada with a BA in International Business Relations, and then completed her Master Degree in International Business Administration (MBA) at the European University in Barcelona, Spain.
As Global Human Resources Director and a member of the Board of Directors for a world leading manufacturing corporation for 8 years, Sophia maximized performance of over 500 employees across multiple global geographic locations. She set global HR objectives and coordinated implementation of HR services, policies, IT systems and programs; Ensured policies and procedures enforcement, appropriate and competitive compensation programs, and effective health and safety regulation. She led human resources practices to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
A seasoned executive head-hunter and recruiter, Sophia is proficient at building talented multinational workforces, by providing members with structured training, support, resource guidance, and motivation to exceed organizational objectives.
